Ok, Ramy, breathe. 

I know I said no more official stretch goals, but our team hasn't stopped working behind the scenes, and I have a couple of new things to share with you.

Originally, we had said that we are going to just ship all of the play mats, standees, and meeples in loose poly bags. We decided to create a box that's designed to hold up to 11 play mats, 11 standees, and 70 meeples so that it can house all of the extra goodies if you're backing one of the higher tiers (or purchasing those items as add-ons). It can even hold the 14 class dice as well.

Michael on our team has been working on crafting a prototype to make sure the measurements are just right:

The way it'll work is that the set of 6 individual player play mats + central play mat will automatically come in this box if you have those items in your tier (or add on the 6 play mat set). All of the other play mats, standees, and meeples will ship separately, but they will fit inside the box. The box won't be available as a separate add-on, but it won't cost anything additional for anyone getting the play mat set. All tiers starting at the $72 tier (Adventurer's Set) will automatically get this box since they include the play mat bundle.

So, at this point, everything in the Ultimate Collector's Set will fit in one of the two boxes (play mat box + Kickstarter Exclusive game box).

All of the cards, including dragon expansion pack, monster expansion pack, and all Kickstarter Exclusive cards will fit in the KSE game box with sleeves.

All of the play mats, standees, meeples, and dice will fit in the new play mat box. We hope you like it!!

The second major announcement is that we are planning a new expansion pack that will not be included as part of this campaign. Why does that matter now, you ask? Because we are creating two new Kickstarter Exclusive promo cards that will be automatically added to your Kickstarter Exclusive Edition of the game :D 

The new expansion (and the 2 new promo cards) will feature 2 brand new classes, Warriors and Druids. We don't have an official launch date, but these two promo cards (in addition to being collector's items) are our promise to continue building out the Here to Slay universe long after this project ends. They will technically be playable, but I would recommend holding on to them separate from the game until the expansion is released (or trading them for a heavy bag of priceless gems).

Our current estimate is that we will be able to release this expansion around October this year.

It has been an utterly delightful experience developing this game and seeing the artwork come to life, and I can't wait until you get to experience it for the first time.

Updated dragon party leader artwork + wallpapers for you :D

Hello :D

Tonight's update is going to be very short- I just wanted to jump in to show off our new Dragon Party Leader artwork :) I'm so excited with how it turned out!!!

This party leader will come with the Dragon Sorcerers expansion pack :)

We also have unlocked over 5 social stretch goals, so here are Here to Slay wallpapers as promised!

I updated the campaign page with all of the most recent information for tiers, exclusives, and add-ons as well, so if there are any questions, discrepancies, or confusion, please let us know in the comments :D

And finally, as of when I'm writing this, we are officially over $1.9M with 6 days left...O_O

A brief interruption for Unstable Unicorns fans 🙊🦄

Hello :D

We have so much going on behind the scenes to make everything work for this game and campaign- I wanted to take a second to tell you about a couple of other exciting things :)

For any Unstable Unicorns fans out there, we have two things in the works right now that we haven't announced anywhere yet, and I wanted you to be the first to know about them.

The first is our next Unstable Unicorns Expansion Pack, "Adventures"

This is our first expansion pack since Unicorns of Legend, and I'm super excited about what it does for the world of Unstable Unicorns. It will be the first expansion pack that will contain new Instant cards that are not Neigh cards. It will also introduce a series of flexible "choose your adventure"-style cards that give you options of effects that you can select when they trigger. Plus, it'll include a new cast of characters and adventure-themed art in our signature style! :D

This expansion is not Kickstarter exclusive, so if you aren't ready to order it now as part of this campaign, you can wait and pick it up later on our website or Amazon before holiday season. That said, you can pre-order the expansion with the campaign, and it'll be delivered with your pledge before it's available for purchase anywhere else :) You'll find it in BackerKit for $15

The second is Unstable Unicorns: Travel Edition

This is an adaptation of our Unstable Unicorns (2nd edition) base game- it's been reduced down to 82 cards for an easy, convenient travel-size game that's designed for 2-4 players. It features a lot of favorites from the original UU game in addition to a handful of new travel-themed cards. 

Like the Adventures Expansion Pack, this isn't a Kickstarter Exclusive item- It is currently scheduled to be released in July or August, but if you're interested in the travel edition and it's more convenient for you to add it to your pledge here, you can add it for $15 :) 

I know for people who collect our games and products (particularly in the EU), our Kickstarter projects are an opportunity to get a lot of things with more convenient shipping options, so I wanted to make sure I announced these things now and gave you the option to add them if it's right for you :D And either way, you're the first to know about these new projects!

As always with add-ons you're interested in adding to your pledge, you can choose from the following options:

  • You can increase your pledge by the amount of the add-ons now and then select the add-ons in BackerKit when the surveys are sent out
  • You can purchase the add-ons directly in BackerKit and add funds at that time

If you have any questions about how to adjust your pledge (or anything else for that matter), please let us know in the comments and we'll be happy to help :D

I also wanted to give a quick update on tiers since there has been a bit of confusion about what is and isn't included- I had forgotten to update the spreadsheet that explains what comes with each tier (sorry!!), but it is now up to date again (click to see larger):

I (think) this should be fully accurate, but if you see any discrepancies, please let me know! You can, of course, change your pledge at any time to the one that works best for you, and this should hopefully give you all the information you need to make that decision.

In tomorrow's update, we'll reveal finished artwork for our Dragon Party Leader (and probably have a few other things too).

Custom Party Leaders, Prototype Photos, and (a very large) Social Stretch Goal Update

Happy Sunday!

We've finished more custom Party Leader artwork based on your requests

All of these have been added to our online Party Leader customizer tool and can be officially used to create your own custom character!

We've been working on custom Party Leader requests as quickly as we can to keep up with the campaign, but it is looking like we definitely won't be able to finish all the ones we've promised by the time it's over! So after the campaign ends, we will continue working on these and post in future updates. As of right now (after these 12), we currently owe 29 more :)

New Dice Set + over $1.5M!! (+ KSE Bard/Wizard Party Leader artwork)

We are just over halfway through the campaign, and we've already reached $1.5M O_O Thank you!!!

A number of people have asked for additional dice as an add-on item.  We've been working on a set of pearlized dice to accompany each of the classes in the game, and they are in the final design stages now! With this set, every player can get their own dice that corresponds to the class of their selected Party Leader :D

The set comes with 12 dice (2 in each color)

In addition, we designed an extra set to accompany the Dragon Sorcerer class:

The set of 12 will be available as an add-on for $15, and the extra 2 will be available for an additional $3.

For anyone who backed the Ultimate Collector's Set, all 14 dice will be automatically included with your pledge! If you were considering moving to the Ultimate Collector's Set pledge, it now includes well over $200 of stuff at $149 and is definitely the best value :D

We also finished the artwork for our Wizard/Bard Party Leader, the Mystical Maestro!

As a reminder, all pledges that include the Kickstarter Exclusive Edition of the game will automatically get the new Party Leader card. Backers of the Hero's Set (with Lv 2 stretch goals) will also automatically get the play mat, and backers of the Ultimate Collector's Set (with Lv 3 stretch goals) will automatically get the play mat as well as the acrylic standee of the character! If you are choosing not to back one of those tiers but are interested in purchasing this play mat and/or acrylic standee, they will both be available in BackerKit as add-on items.

Tomorrow, you can expect some new prototype photos, more custom party leader artwork based on the requests we've been receiving, and a social stretch goal update (including tons of photos and videos we've been collecting to inspire you!)

This campaign continues to be an incredible adventure, and I want to say thank you once again for believing in us and for being a part of this journey.
