Some good news (timelines on track + a little free entertainment)

Hello everyone :D
I just wanted to send out an update to let you know that (as of now), our timeline is still on track. We've gotten a lot of questions about how COVID-19 has affected our production and fulfillment, and we've thus far been fortunate (and production is officially underway!)- I will be sure to keep you posted if anything changes.
The past few months have been really tough, and I know a lot of people have been stuck at home or feeling disconnected. Our team wanted to do something to help our supporters in our own way during these challenging times. We launched a new section on the TeeTurtle site this week that includes a number of print-and-play versions of our games and other content to keep you (and your kids, if you have any!) busy and entertained.
I know it's something small, but I hope this stuff can bring a little bit of joy to your day (and it's all free) <3 After all, having fun is one of the best things we can do right now to take care of ourselves and our loved ones.

And even though our team is working from home at the moment, we're using this time to work on new game concepts and expansions that we're excited to show you (hopefully later this year) :D

BackerKit Surveys Are Here! (GO GO GO!!)

As the title suggests, as of today our pledge manager is open!!
It's been taking a bit longer than anticipated to send the surveys this time around, but as of the writing of this post, around 50% are currently out. Within the next 24 hours, each backer should have an email with a link to access their pledge and the add-ons store. So if you don't have one yet, hold tight and make sure you keep checking your inbox (and/or your spam folder)!
I know that there have been a lot of questions about how BackerKit and add-ons work, and many of you are first time backers. During our last campaign, I wrote a step-by-step tutorial to explain the process, and so I'm going to include that here for you again to help you through the process if you need it. :)
Step 1. Log in to BackerKit
Once you've clicked on the link in your email, you will be asked to log in to BackerKit. Make sure to use the email address that you use with Kickstarter, as this is how BackerKit knows you! If you didn't get an email for whatever reason, you can also go to BackerKit's website directly and log in from there.
Step 2. Go to the Here to Slay project in BackerKit
Once you've logged in to your BackerKit account, you can do this by either selecting it from your listed projects, or by clicking on this link.
Step 3. Confirm your desired pledge level
On the next page, you can review your pledge level. If you'd like to change to a different pledge level, just click on the link under Your Pledge Level and you will be allowed to select a new one.
Once you've confirmed the pledge level you want, click the green "Get Started!" button to move to the next page.
Step 4. Answer the pledge question
On the next page, select the 'Ok!' answer to the 'pledge question' (we know this isn't really a question, but we had to put something).
Once you've done that, click the teal 'Next: Add-ons' button at the bottom to move on to the add-ons store.
Step 5. Select your add-ons
Here's the fun part -- choosing your add-ons! On this page, you're going to see a whole store full of items that you can choose to add to your rewards. Scroll through and check out all of the options. If you want something, all you have to do is click on the 'Add to Cart' button below that particular item. Once you do, it will show up in your order summary on the right-hand side under 'Add-ons'.
If you added funds beyond those needed for your pledge level before the end of the campaign, you will see that money show up in green with text saying 'Credit Remaining' at the bottom of your order summary. Any add-ons you select will take money out of that credit amount. If your added items are more than the credit amount, you will see the difference needing to be paid displayed in the same summary.
Once you're happy with your selections, click the teal 'Next' button to move on to your shipping info. If you didn't want any add-ons, just hit the 'Next' button without choosing any additional items.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE UNSTABLE UNICORN CARD, STANDEE, AND PLAY MAT FOR PREVIOUS BACKERS: If you are a previous backer and are eligible to receive one or more of these items automatically as part of your pledge, these will not appear in your add-ons automatically. They will be included after we transfer the orders out of BackerKit for fulfillment, so do not be alarmed if you do not see them in your order summary!
Step 6. Enter your shipping information
TELL US WHERE YOU LIVE!! -- no, really, tell us where you live so we can send all this stuff to you! Make sure you enter your address correctly here and be sure to double- and triple-check it before moving on. If it's not right, it will be very hard for you to receive your items!
NOTE: If you live in a country which does not use the roman alphabet as its main alphabet, please write your address in roman characters (if you are able). The system doesn't easily understand non-roman characters, so it may make it difficult for us to get you everything safely and on time if addresses are not formatted in this way.
Once you've checked over your address and are sure it's right, click the teal 'Next' button to move on to the next step.
Step 7. Pay for your add-ons and place your order
If you added on any items and you didn't have a credit already loaded in to cover their cost, this page is where you'll be asked to fill out your credit card info. NOTE: Your card will not be charged for these add-ons until the surveys close on March 10th, so if you don't see a charge right away, do not be alarmed! Because you have two weeks to make adjustments to your surveys, we don't charge you until that time frame has closed.
As having correct information is SO important, please review your information for your order here one last time just to make absolutely sure that all is correct.
When you're done, click on the big green 'Place My Order' button.
And you're done! YAAAAAAY!!!
If you still have issues after following this tutorial with any of the steps, be sure to reach out to [email protected] or here in the comments and someone will be sure to assist you.
Remember that surveys close on March 10th. If you move between then and the time that the shipments are sent out, you will still be able to edit your address information later. However, the add-ons will no longer be available for purchase and no further changes will be able to be made to your pledge level.
Once BackerKit closes, we'll be able to take inventory of everything that's been ordered and start the process of getting everything moving along into production. I'm so excited to be one step closer to having this game in your hands. <3

Behind the scenes, we've been doing a ton of coordination to make sure everything continues to stay on track for Here to Slay!
I wanted to post a quick update with a few things that I had promised. But before I do, I wanted to note that...
SURVEYS GO OUT NEXT WEEK!
I will send out another update on Tuesday when they officially are sent, but please be on the lookout from an email that will give you access to BackerKit to input your shipping information and select any add-ons you want! You'll have 2 weeks to input your information, but please do not put it off and forget! It is super important in order for you to be able to get your package.
We also finished another large batch of Party Leader requests! We had to temporarily put these on pause, but we are back on track and will continue making our way through requests until we've completed all the ones we owe (which I believe is 122 more at this point).
These have all been added to the Here to Slay Party Leader Customizer!
We also updated the HTS Base Game Print & Play File:
I will post an update later with all of the updated Kickstarter Exclusive cards, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this!

How do I even begin to say thank you for a project like this?
38,923 backers pledged $3,077,697 to help bring this project to life.
That's what the campaign says, but wow...It's going to take a few days for this to all sink in.
I'll still have a number of updates in the next few weeks as we update the print & play, get more prototypes, and finish more of your Party Leader requests (which, at this point, we still owe 149!). It'll also be super important for you to look out for the pledge manager survey that you'll receive in 2 weeks from BackerKit- that's where you'll be able to enter your address and add any add-ons you want :D
After that, the updates will start to spread out more, but I'll still send out updates as we hit major milestones for production and fulfillment.
The campaign is over now, but the work is really just beginning for a lot of our team that will be working on making everything happen behind the scenes so that nothing falls through the cracks and that we fulfill all of our promises.
Our community is the reason a game like this was possible, and I am so excited to get Here to Slay in your hands.

On a more serious note, I want to take another minute to say thank you to our team again. Behind the scenes, I'm sort of a whirlwind flying through, and they often have to bend over backwards to keep up with all of the changes in the project. They are so creative, so talented, and so clever, and I am so lucky to get to work with them every day. I want them to know that I see how much work they put in to make sure no detail is forgotten.
And, one more time, I want to say thank you to you.
You believed in us, and that made it possible for us to make this game a reality.
You challenged us, and I am so proud of what this campaign became as a result.
You gave us your time and your trust, and we don't take that fact lightly.
